Problem-Solving Process
The ombudsman is independent, impartial, and neutral. We offer confidential and educational support through a problem-solving process that establishes plans of actions grounded in approaches of conflict resolution. We provide resources and referrals for those who are in need. Also, we provide educational and factual information that will assist families and communities effectively. We believe that people can resolve their family issues cost-effectively, time efficiently, and without years in the family court system.

Facilitative & Elements of Transformative
Impartiality and self-determination of the parties is key to any mediation that LEDRS seeks to "facilitate" in assisting the parties in reaching a mutually agreeable resolution. Our founder desires that agreements that are made are based on information and understanding from the parties perspectives. We focus on the needs and interests of each party. In addition to facilitative method, we also incorporate elements of transformative approach. We believe that relationships can be transformed in some way. We encourage resolutions from the parties.
A B O U T OUR FOUNDER
Elizabeth Stewart-Williams, MDR
I have a passion for people and due to such passion, I have dedicated my life to service. I hold a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma. I also possess a Master's in Dispute Resolution (MDR) from Pepperdine Law and currently in pursuit of obtaining my PhD. I am a Mediator and Facilitator in the areas of family, community, and organizations specializing in high-conflict cases. I am also an Ombudsman with various small businesses, churches and Non-Profits.
I created a pilot ombudsman program "Family Court Ombudsman" to assist families who are experiencing family issues, and those who may be going through family court systems who need additional educational understanding. Due to my personal experience and professional work within Family Court, I was called to establish LEDRS to help families.
