This involves a mother with no previous criminal record who had accusations brought against her due to injury to one of her children. There are a number claimed variables (claimed stories) but the issue is she was not allowed to address and defend the ruling of the Court based off of discretion. She was unexpectedly subjected to a lifetime protective order in a general hearing. She is prohibited from seeing or directly contacting her children indefinitely because of this "order," which was decided solely based on judicial discretion. This is a civil case in Family Court, not a criminal one, and she was not given the opportunity to present or defend her case. The judge terminated her parental rights without a preponderance of the evidence. Her case is currently awaiting review by the Supreme Court of Texas. Hear her testimony here:
It does not have to get to this. Let us help you avoid this.
